Job summary

TC Energy is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Measurement Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate natural gas compressor station control systems and related facilities.

You will install, calibrate, test, and repair various measurement and regulation equipment, while ensuring safety and compliance across field operations. A strong background in EIC and PLCs is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a related industry.
• Thorough understanding of stop work authority (SWA) and safe work practices.
• Knowledge and understanding of lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures.
• Basic knowledge of engine mechanics.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software.
• Must be an expert in Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EIC).

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, repair, and maintain compressor stations, meter stations, and related facilities.
• Perform routine and major maintenance on natural gas driven compressor units and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot, operate, maintain, calibrate, and repair various types of electronic, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Maintain power, process controls, PLCs, electric generation equipment, meters and related instrumentation.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain wiring and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctions and locate causes using test equipment and rectify issues.
• Record keeping for DOT audits including inspections, calibrations and gas quality analyses.
