Job summary

Williams is seeking an I&E-focused Operations Technician to maintain and optimize electrical and control systems across our facilities. You will install, troubleshoot, and service switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and AC/DC systems while collaborating with project teams.

Expect 10–12 hour shifts with rotating nights, weekends, and travel between locations; you will identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support safe, reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Technician Sr: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, including switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and both AC/DC systems.
• Ensuring safe and reliable operations by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Maintaining and repairing process control systems to support efficient plant operations.
• Collaborating with project teams to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new installations and upgrades.
• Performing additional duties as needed to support operations.
