Job summary

Stantec invites engineering interns to join a team working on active projects across Energy & Resources in North America. You will collaborate with experienced practitioners and clients, performing tasks that build knowledge in renewable power, oil & gas, and facilities optimization.

This hands-on program emphasizes growth, mentorship, and real-world impact. You will gain practical skills, broaden your network, and contribute to projects shaping energy transition and infrastructure development

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field (Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, or Chemical Engineering).
• Canada: Enrollment in Instrumentation Technology diploma program.
• Strong technical proficiency and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical knowledge to add value to projects and learn through training.
• Assist I&C engineers and design leads with project tasks and deliverables.
• Develop instrumentation data sheets and requisitions.
• Size and select instrumentation and control components.
• Draft control philosophy and narrative documents.
• Familiarize with industry standards and HSSE policies.
• Establish positive relationships in a consulting environment.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving.
