Job summary

Stantec is seeking a student intern in Bakersfield, CA to assist electrical, instrumentation, and automation efforts within a consulting engineering context. You will support engineers and design leads on projects, develop instrumentation documents, and participate in system sizing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and design leads with instrument indexes, IO assignments, data sheets, and purchase requisitions.
• Support sizing and selection of instrumentation and control system components.
• Contribute to control philosophy, Cause & Effect, and shutdown logic documentation.
• Help with control system architecture including panels, wiring, and power distribution.
• Familiarize with applicable industry standards, codes, and HSSE requirements.
