Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to apply and expand your background on upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities. You will contribute to P&ID development, I/O lists, control panel design, and control narratives, working with client representatives and project teams.

Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and construction coordination; participate in Process Hazard Analysis and design reviews; opportunities for learning through Communities of

Qualifications

• Must have a BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with strong control systems coursework.
• Experience or familiarity with instrumentation and controls in oil & gas projects preferred.
• Ability to apply systems and procedures to project design and collaboration.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• P&ID development and I/O lists for instrumentation and controls.
• Control panel design and C&E development; control narrative preparation.
• Network architecture, cable schedules, and location plans; procure instrumentation equipment specs.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and design reviews; interact with client representatives.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification; mentoring and training.
