Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrument and Controls Designer (Tempe, AZ) to develop P&ID diagrams and panel layouts, with a focus on precise instrumentation and control systems for industrial facilities.

You will use Revit and AutoCAD, manage schedules, and prepare reports while collaborating with a dynamic team. The role offers hybrid work and growth opportunities within a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Associate of Applied Science Degree.
• At least 5 years of I&C design experience.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
• Experience in semiconductor/industrial facilities and automation systems.
• Conduit and cable tray routing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&ID following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology and panel layouts.
• Prepare wiring diagrams and panel designs.
• Manage project schedules and produce accurate reports.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality designs for clients.
