Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking skilled technicians to install, troubleshoot, and commission instrumentation and control systems for ground and launch facilities. You will join a 24/7 operations environment with night and day shift flexibility to support high‑hazard testing and launch readiness.

Responsibilities include wiring, commissioning, and debugging automated control systems, building panels, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of instrumentation experience in aerospace, industrial, or oil and gas environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Mechanical proficiency, proper use of hand tools, and adherence to safe work practices.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at moderate heights, and climb ladders/stairs.

Responsibilities

• Wire, commission, and debug automated control systems
• Build automation control panels per design
• Work with external vendors to build and install panels
• Redline electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated systems
• Take utmost ownership of install work and timelines, providing regular updates and communicating blockers or risks rapidly
• Field installation of control enclosures, Unistrut and secondary steel components
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair of control systems
• Cable conductor termination including overall and drain shielding
• Instrumentation installation
• Field routing, cable tray and wire basket installation
