Job summary

Genesis of Suitland in Marlow Heights, MD seeks an EV-certified automotive technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Genesis and Hyundai EVs and hybrids, in a flat-rate environment, with a focus on safety and quality.

This full-time role offers $50 per flat rate, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, training, and a modern EV-ready shop with benefits.

Qualifications

• EV/high-voltage certification required for sign-on bonus.
• Master or Senior certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a flat-rate environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Genesis and Hyundai vehicles, including full battery-electric and hybrid models
• Perform high-voltage system diagnostics and repairs following OEM safety protocols
• Complete multi-point inspections and document findings accurately
• Use factory-approved tools, equipment, and repair procedures
• Communicate clearly with service advisors on repair needs and recommendations
• Stay current with Genesis and Hyundai training, technology, and certification programs
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment and deliver the premium experience Genesis customers expect

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Genesis and Hyundai vehicles, including full battery-electric and hybrid models

What You Bring

• Current Hyundai or Genesis EV / high-voltage certification (required for the sign-on bonus)
• Hyundai or Genesis Master or Senior certification preferred
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with modern scan tools and OEM software (GDS)
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a flat-rate environment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliability, a positive attitude, and a commitment to doing it right the first time
