Job summary

Classic Hyundai of Hampton is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Hyundai Genesis vehicles in a full-time role. The position is hourly and located in Hampton, Virginia, with opportunities for overtime based on workload.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of Hyundai Genesis experience, ASE certification or willingness to obtain it, and strong diagnostic and teamwork skills to ensure top-notch customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience working on Hyundai Genesis vehicles.
• Current ASE certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and technology.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Hyundai Genesis vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Utilize diagnostic tools and technology to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs and provide estimates for cost and repair timeline
• Document all repairs and maintain accurate records
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Keep up-to-date on the latest Hyundai Genesis technology and updates
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians
