Job summary

Leidos Defense is seeking a Software Systems Lab Manager for the Hypersonic Software Test Environment in Huntsville, AL. Lead day-to-day operations of a classified engineering lab, ensuring DoD security compliance and coordinating with FSO, ISSO, ISSM, and cybersecurity teams.

Drive lab budgeting, equipment lifecycle, and risk mitigation to support complex test activities. Ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited B.S.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited B.S. in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or similar; 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with handling classified data and lab safety.
Knowledge of NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117, DSS/DCSA requirements, and other security policies.
Hands-on hardware/software/system integration, troubleshooting, and testing.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of classified engineering lab.
Ensure lab operations comply with applicable DoD security requirements.
Partner with FSO, ISSO, ISSM, and cyber security to maintain secure and effective operations.
Identify and mitigate lab safety, security, technical, and operational risks.
Support engineering integration and test activities as needed.
Develop and manage lab budget, facility improvements, and long range infrastructure planning.
Manage equipment calibrations and lifecycle replacements as needed.
