Job summary

Hermeus seeks a Propulsion Test Engineering Intern for fall 2024, a 16‑week program (Aug–Dec). You will gain hands-on experience with high-performance propulsion systems while supporting engine and system-level testing alongside engineers and technicians.

You will help set up test campaigns, monitor data, and troubleshoot issues, contributing to Hermeus’ hypersonic development efforts. The internship includes exposure to test stands, instrumentation, and safety best practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM degree and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Enthusiasm for propulsion systems and testing.
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• GPA 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside engineers to design, set up, and operate propulsion test stands.
• Instrument test setups, monitor test conditions, and analyze performance data.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to refine test processes and safety practices.
