Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Flight Termination Engineer Lead for its Hypersonics line. The selected candidate will serve as the Responsible Engineer and IPT Lead for the Flight Termination System, interfacing with government customers and industry partners to ensure mission success.

With 8+ years of relevant experience (or 12+ years without degree) in electrical engineering, you will lead reviews, drive problem-solving, and contribute to system-level integration and environmental testing

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• 8+ years relevant experience (or 12+ years in lieu of degree) or MS with 6+ years.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics to produce complex assemblies.
• Experience in electronics integration, test, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with environmental testing of avionics.
• Experience writing qualification plans to RCC-319/324.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Responsible Engineer and IPT Lead for the Flight Termination System
• Lead technical reviews, failure investigations, supplier engagements, and cross-functional task teams
• Assist in requirement decomposition
• Interface with the Range Commanders Council
• Conduct non-conformance and root cause corrective action investigations
