Torch Technologies is seeking a qualified engineer to support AEDC testing in aeropropulsion and hypersonics. The role requires a TS clearance and a strong background in data analysis, wind tunnel testing, and propulsion performance evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years in aeropropulsion, wind tunnel testing, or hypersonic aerodynamics.
• Proficiency in data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with high-speed propulsion and compressible flow dynamics.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the 718th Test Squadron at AEDC in planning, execution, and analysis of testing.
• Analyze aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and propulsion data from ground test facilities.
• Develop test plans, matrices, and safety packages with facility engineers and stakeholders.
• Use data acquisition systems and post-test data reduction tools to evaluate high-speed propulsion systems.
• Communicate test results and anomalies through reports, briefings, and presentations.
