Job summary

Torch Technologies seeks a highly skilled Hypersonic Aeropropulsion Test Analyst to support the 715th Test Squadron at AEDC, Arnold AFB, TN. This on-site role focuses on planning, executing, and analyzing hypersonic ground tests and propulsion data to advance defense technology.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, coordinating with facility engineers and stakeholders, and producing reports. A Secret DoW clearance is required, with active clearance maintained throughout tenure.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis and engineering software (MATLAB, Python, etc.).
• Familiarity with high-speed/hypersonic propulsion and compressible flow dynamics.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present complex data.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Secret DoW security clearance.
• Active clearance must be maintained throughout employment tenure.

Responsibilities

• Support AEDC 715 TS in planning, execution, and analysis of hypersonic ground testing.
• Analyze aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and propulsion data from test facilities (APTU).
• Develop test plans, matrices, and safety packages with engineers and stakeholders.
• Use data acquisition systems and post-test data reduction tools to evaluate scramjet, ramjet, and high-speed propulsion.
• Communicate test results and anomalies via technical reports and briefings.
