Zusammenfassung

Torch Technologies is seeking a Chamber Test Analyst to support the 718th Test Squadron at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) in TN. The role focuses on planning, executing, and analyzing hypersonic propulsion tests, with data-driven assessments and comprehensive reporting to stakeholders.

Required: US citizenship, a Bachelor’s in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years in aeropropulsion or related fields, and Top Secret DoD clearance. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or highly related field.
• 3+ years in aeropropulsion, wind tunnel testing, or hypersonic aerodynamics.
• Proficiency in data analysis and engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
• Familiarity with high-speed propulsion systems and compressible flow dynamics.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret DoW security clearance.

Aufgaben

• Support the 718th Test Squadron at AEDC in planning, execution, and analysis of testing.
• Analyze aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and propulsion data from ground test facilities.
• Develop test plans, test matrices, and safety packages with facility engineers and stakeholders.
• Utilize data acquisition systems and post-test data reduction tools to evaluate high-speed propulsion performance.
• Collaborate with test facility personnel, government customers, and prime contractors to meet test objectives.
• Generate technical reports, data packages, briefings, and presentations communicating results and anomalies.
