Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical or Aerospace Systems Engineer, supporting TOS II at Tunnel 9 in Silver Spring, MD. The Systems Engineer will work as part of an integrated team responsible for operating, maintaining, and supporting tests for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Responsibilities include owning major systems, coordinating facility improvements, performing thermo-mechanical analyses, designing test article

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Progressive experience for Grade 07 is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using solid modeling CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system malfunctions during tests and perform corrective maintenance.
• Conduct root cause analyses and recommend remedial actions.
• Analyze and write reports on equipment design for safety reviews.
• Develop safety analyses and write work instructions.
• Update and maintain system documentation.
