Job summary

Crossflow Technologies, Inc. seeks an Modeling & Simulation Engineer to advance M&S capabilities for hypersonic systems. You will integrate diverse models, develop Python automation, and evaluate vehicle trajectories across flight conditions.

The role requires strong Python and C++ background, knowledge of hypersonic mechanics, and experience with Git/GitLab; active Secret clearance is required. On-site at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong Python skills for scientific computing and automation.
• Experience integrating modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience automating simulation workflows (model config, execution, processing).
• Understanding hypersonic flight mechanics and aerothermal effects.
• Experience communicating results to technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Git/GitLab or similar tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot software, models, inputs, outputs, and environments.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and enhance M&S tools by connecting models into unified workflows.
• Develop Python-based software and automation for simulation setup and post-processing.
• Generate and optimize hypersonic trajectories across mission conditions.
• Perform aerothermal analyses for hypersonic flight.
• Maintain pre- and post-processing workflows for multidisciplinary models.
• Extract, process, visualize, and interpret simulation results for design decisions.
• Improve efficiency and robustness of analysis pipelines.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Troubleshoot integration, execution, and data-interface issues.
• Collaborate to integrate trajectory, structural, and other capabilities.
