Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Modeling & Simulation Engineer to develop, validate, and apply advanced CFD and M&S tools within HPC environments, supporting AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. The role drives engineering innovation by solving complex problems and expanding predictive capabilities for hypersonic regimes.

The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage projects with discretion, and maintain effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical or aerospace engineering with required years of experience.
• 1 year of experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools to automate workflows.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance and AEDC access.
• U.S. Citizenship required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Support software development for computational modeling and simulation tools.
• Develop and apply CFD/M&S models with HPC to solve complex engineering problems.
• Ensure CFD/M&S tools meet accuracy for predicting hardware performance.
• Identify and implement improvements to CFD codes and algorithms.
• Expand CFD capabilities into hypersonic regimes with combustion and high-temperature effects.
