Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking an Electrical, Avionics Drafter to support design, integration, testing and maintenance of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. You will gather requirements, create wiring diagrams, and develop system drawings for carrier or hypersonic vehicles.

The role requires aerospace development background and experience with CAD tools (NX/CATIA/Mentor). The position is on-site in Mojave, CA, with travel as needed and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of, and experience with, electrical engineering, avionics, experimental aircraft and/or launch vehicle integration.
• Experience with Aerospace production documentation (drawings and work orders).
• Experience with PDM systems, engineering control and revision control release processes.
• Familiarity with aerospace hardware such as connectors, relays, and wire types.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges to varied audiences and drive solutions.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and prioritize tasks to meet business goals.
• Experience in complex aerospace system development.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support Avionics and Electrical design effort and documentation.
• Develop engineering drawings, trees, block diagrams, ICDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Provide shop support to complete avionics/electrical modifications.
• Develop test plans and procedures and support validation testing.
• Travel as needed to support the department and project teams.
