Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a level I, II, or Sr-level Data Systems Engineer to support design, integration, testing, and maintenance of hypersonic aircraft avionics systems with a focus on data processing and software tool development. The role involves collaboration with system owners to understand test requirements across ranges and ensure data quality.

On-site in Mojave, CA, you will handle flight test data, develop ingestion methods, troubleshoot data issues, and contribute to software tooling,

Qualifications

• Experience in Telemetry, Instrumentation, or Network engineering in a test environment.
• Experience with Ethernet networking and TCP/UDP/multicasting.
• Experience with data acquisition instrumentation and distribution to mission control.
• Experience with dataloggers and writing system requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process flight test data in centralized databases.
• Create and maintain data ingestion methods; troubleshoot data quality issues.
• Support software tools development, including configuration management and analysis tools.
• Define, document, and manage subsystem requirements for new configurations.
• Develop and support instrumentation, network, and telemetry tests.
• Assist integration testing: power checks, sensor calibration, equipment checkout.
• Collaborate with design, network engineers, and technicians to achieve goals.
• Prepare data system material for design reviews and post-operation reviews.
