Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. This role focuses on automation and tooling to improve uptime and efficiency across hyperscale server fleets.

You'll analyze telemetry, develop diagnostics, and collaborate with global teams to implement fleet-wide improvements through code and data-driven decisions. Travel up to 25% to support global deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years in production systems/infrastructure engineering for large-scale hardware.
• Experience developing automation tooling in Python, Bash, C, or C++ for Linux at scale.
• Experience with web servers, load balancers, databases, storage, and messaging systems.
• Strong written communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes across the server fleet to maximize uptime.
• Write and maintain code for diagnostic and automation tooling.
• Own diagnostic tooling requirements for frontline operations.
• Lead escalation for tooling and hardware issues affecting fleet health.
• Validate new product integrations in production.
• Collaborate with tooling teams to align roadmaps.
• Perform data analysis to prioritize automation opportunities.
• Build cross-functional relationships to improve data center operations.
• Mentor engineers on fleet issues and tool improvements.
• Travel up to 25% for global deployments.
