Job summary

E2 Optics in Cedar Rapids, IA, is hiring for a Field Supervisor/Lead Technician to manage multiple crews on hyperscale data center projects. You will lead daily field execution, ensure safety and quality, and optimize look-ahead planning and production.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate’s or technical degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Network Infrastructure, or related field preferred.
Relevant industry and manufacturer training strongly preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, data center, or related construction environments.
Hyperscale or large data center experience strongly preferred.
Experience leading multiple crews or workfronts in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

Direct daily execution of Lead Technicians and crews across multiple workfronts.
Maintain near-continuous presence in active work areas to ensure priorities and plans are followed.
Own production performance and set daily expectations in line with schedule.
Update production trackers and ensure accurate reporting of quantities and progress.
Lead, coach, and develop assigned Leads to ensure safety, quality, and delivery standards.
Identify constraints early and escalate or resolve them with the Superintendent.
