Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive adoption of new innovations at major data center customers. You will provide extensive technical sales and engineering support to the DCBU organization and strategic account teams, building deep local relationships with customer contacts, design consultants, and installers.

Travel up to 50% regionally for domestic trips; required BS in engineering or science and 2+ years in sales, project management, data center product design,

Qualifications

• BS in an Engineering, Technical or Science Field.
• 2+ years of sales, project management, data center product or design experience, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated presentation skills and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive the innovation adoption process for assigned strategic accounts to create a preference for Corning products and incremental revenue.
• Serve as SME for assigned Hyperscale DC sites and guide strategic account teams to meet technical needs.
• Provide competitive intel based on customer engagements and feedback.
• Identify local contacts who benefit from new innovations (NPIs).
• Develop customer, installer, consultant, and integrator champions for innovations and build relationships.
• Coordinate with Engineering Services to provide resource forecasts and schedules for on-site technical support.
• Report weekly trip progress and milestones to stakeholders.
• Engage cross-functional teams to assist customers via Engineering Services, Product Line Management, Manufacturing and R&D.
