Job summary

Smartlink in Abilene, TX is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale fiber-optic infrastructure in hyperscale environments. This role centers on coordinating installation crews, logistics, procurement, and QA to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will collaborate with engineering, vendors, and clients, drive continuous improvement, and manage budgets, risk, and schedules across multiple workstreams to deliver

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in large-scale infrastructure or data centers.
• Strong technical understanding of fiber-optic architecture and related deployments.
• Proven ability to coordinate across multiple workstreams and teams.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery, maintaining the critical path from procurement to close-out.
• Develop project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risk and QA.
• Coordinate installation, logistics, and field activities across data halls and routes.
• Manage budgets, change orders, and vendor/subcontractor performance.
