Pacer Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanical / Structural Designer to support engineers by developing 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for hyperscale data center modules. The role focuses on mechanical, piping, and structural design, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and industry codes.

You will generate P&ID, isometrics, layouts, and related documentation, review vendor data, coordinate with third‑party firms, and assist service personnel with troubleshooting using drawings and

Competenze

• Technical certification in a design discipline or 10+ years in the field.
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical, piping, and structural design.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience with CAD and BIM to produce drawings, models, and sketches.
• Understanding of electrical systems used in facilities.
• Knowledge of AHRI, ANSI, AWS, IBC, MFMA, MSS, OSHA, NFPA.

Mansioni

• Create, review, and check drawings, 3D models, and BOMs per specs.
• Prepare bulk MTOs and BOMs independently when required.
• Develop mechanical, piping, and structural drawings and docs.
• Ensure drawings comply with procedures, QA/QC, and standards.
• Support service personnel in troubleshooting using drawings and models.
• Coordinate with vendors and oversee third-party design firms.
• Generate reports and model-based information for project teams.
• Complete engineering work requests per departmental standards.
• Provide lessons learned and suggest improvements to tools and processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to deliver reliable designs.
