Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Maintenance Technician to support hyperscale data center operations, performing preventive maintenance on UPS, generators, and cooling systems to maximize uptime. In this role, you will follow strict safety protocols (MOP, SOP, LOTO), review work orders, and collaborate with teams to ensure energy efficiency and compliance with building codes.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience in critical infrastructure.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and monitoring of hyperscale data center infrastructure—including UPS, generators, and cooling—to maximize uptime.
• Review work orders and coordinate with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow defined procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
• Deliver own output by following procedures under supervision.
