Job summary

Instrata Technologies, LLC. is seeking a Data Center Field Engineer / Project Engineer to support hyperscale data center construction through detailed coordination, documentation control, and field execution support.

You will provide technical and administrative support to Site Project Managers and field teams, managing RFIs, submittals, redlines, as-builts, and turnover documentation to ensure commissioning readiness and milestone achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or project support.
• Working knowledge of Division 27/28 conveyance systems (structured cabling, OSP, splicing, security, BDA/DAS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and documentation tools such as Bluebeam and scheduling/tracking platforms.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• EIT, FE, or PMP-track credentials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bridge technical and administrative gaps on active hyperscale data center projects with daily field presence.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, redlines, as-builts, and field documentation ensuring accuracy and timely responses.
• Identify design conflicts, constructability issues, and scope discrepancies early to avoid impacts.
• Coordinate quality inspections, punch walks, and commissioning readiness activities; track test results.
• Interface with client engineers and construction reps, providing updates on documentation status and milestones.
• Track installation progress, material alignment, and field changes with foremen and QA/QC teams.
• Support cost control, forecasting, billing, and change order development via quantity validation.
• Leverage BIM/VDC/PMO resources to close technical gaps and support turnover.
