Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC in Bowling Green, OH is seeking a Field Engineer for a hyperscale data center project to bridge office management and on-site execution. You will validate telecom and structured cabling designs, manage change control, and oversee real-time dashboards to monitor progress and safety on a 100% onsite site.

The role requires heavy involvement with RFI processes, lifecycle support from pre-construction through closeout, and a strong background in large cabling installations and data

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in construction as Field/Project Engineer.
• Experience with large structured cabling or data center builds.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification required; obtain within 6 months if not held.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, Textura, and MS Office.
• Familiar with OTDR and Power Meter data.

Responsibilities

• Lead field validation of telecom and structured cabling designs via RFIs.
• Own change management and coordinate with stakeholders to protect schedules.
• Manage dashboards for real-time task progress and crew productivity.
• Support QA/QC and review test results (OTDR, Power meters).
• Contribute to pre-construction reviews and lifecycle support.
• Maintain up-to-date redline drawings and contract docs.
• Lead project closeout packages for customer sign-off.
