Job summary

OnStak Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Field Technician to support our critical data center operations in New Albany, Ohio.

The role requires 4+ years of progressive experience in data center infrastructure, network hardware maintenance, and fiber-optic troubleshooting, with 100% onsite availability on a 24x7 rotation. You will troubleshoot hardware anomalies, execute cabling maintenance, and ensure uptime through expert fault resolution and RCA-driven preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data center operations or infra engineering.
• Strong fiber-optic troubleshooting and hardware maintenance.
• OSHA certs preferred.
• On-site in New Albany, OH with 24x7 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve data center hardware failures and network bottlenecks.
• Perform rack-and-stack operations, server installations, hardware replacements, decommissioning.
• Diagnose copper and fiber cabling faults and signal loss.
• Conduct fiber testing with OTDR, power meters, and VFL.
• Lead RCA and preventive maintenance activities.
• Support L1/L2 techs and coordinate with network teams.
• Operate on 24x7 shifts and adhere to safety protocols.
