Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for an on-site role supporting our Hyperscale Data Center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will assist the Project Manager, manage project information, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

You will work with the project team, contribute to cost reporting, and mentor junior staff while promoting collaboration and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with a general contractor, construction manager, or large trade contractor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to set measurable goals and hold teams accountable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in change management processes.
• Contribute to monthly cost reporting and analytics.
• Assist with cost tracking, pay applications, and reporting.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery to maintain schedules.
• Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with contract documents.
• Organize and distribute project documentation across stakeholders.
