Job summary

Align is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the fit-out of hyperscale data center white space within colocation environments. This role manages all facets of tenant build-out, coordinating trades, sequencing work, ensuring quality, and delivering mission-critical infrastructure on-site in the Atlanta area with occasional travel.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in data centers, strong sequencing of trades, QA/QC proficiency, and solid project management skills.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of construction management experience in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Experience managing white space fit-out/tenant improvements in colocation or hyperscale data centers.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and site management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and deliver projects on schedule.
• Strong QA/QC processes, including inspection of support systems and overhead installations.
• Project management skills including scheduling and budgeting.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; strong client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction management for data center white space fit-out projects.
• Oversee installation of containment systems, overhead cable tray, ladder rack conveyance, and cooling infrastructure.
• Manage trade contractors and sequencing of work to maintain schedule and avoid conflicts.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
• Enforce QC processes to ensure installations meet design specs and standards.
• Monitor project schedule and budget; identify and resolve risks/issues.
• Support commissioning and handover processes.
