Job summary

Align is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the fit-out of hyperscale data center white space within colocation environments. You will manage all tenant fit-out construction aspects, coordinating trades, sequencing work, ensuring quality and safety, and delivering mission-critical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has strong data center construction management experience, with knowledge of containment, overhead cable trays, structural supports, and cooling systems.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of construction management experience in mission-critical or data center environments.
• Proven experience managing white space fit-out/tenant improvement projects in colocation or hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and site management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and deliver projects on schedule.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, including inspection of support systems and overhead installations.
• Project Management skills including scheduling and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction management for data center white space fit-out projects.
• Oversee installation of containment systems, overhead cabling, structural supports, HVAC, and electrical distribution.
• Manage trade contractors and ensure proper sequencing to maintain schedule and avoid conflicts.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
• Enforce QC processes to meet design specs, load requirements, and industry standards.
• Monitor schedule, budget, and progress; identify and resolve risks/issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site protocols.
• Review construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; verify tolerances and anchoring.
• Support commissioning and handover processes.
