Job summary

Legacy Professional Services, LLC is seeking an MEP Engineer (Connectivity) to support the coordination, installation, integration, testing, and turnover of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low‑voltage connectivity systems on hyperscale data center construction projects.

You’ll work with MEP leadership, Project Managers, Superintendents, QA/QC, commissioning teams and IT stakeholders to ensure connectivity infrastructure is coordinated with mechanical, electrical, controls, and other systems

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
3+ years supporting connectivity, low-voltage, or network infrastructure in commercial construction.
Strong understanding of structured cabling and fiber infrastructure.
Experience coordinating connectivity with MEP systems and construction disciplines.
Familiarity with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI practices.
Experience with fiber testing, copper certification, or OTDR testing.
Ability to read MEP/connectivity drawings and project docs.
Knowledge of construction sequencing and turnover processes.
Proficient with PM software and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

Support installation, integration, and deployment of connectivity systems for hyperscale data centers.
Coordinate connectivity with MEP systems to ensure proper interfaces and sequencing.
Review drawings, specs, submittals, and coordination docs to identify requirements.
Coordinate pathways, cable trays, penetrations, and equipment spaces.
Support telecom rooms, network spaces, racks, and fiber infrastructure.
Coordinate rack‑and‑stack activities and white space deployment as required.
Verify installations meet specs, standards, and owner requirements.
Collaborate with teams to resolve field conflicts and turnover issues.
Document fiber testing, copper certification, OTDR, and testing records.
Assist inspections, testing, and Integrated Systems Testing for client acceptance.
Maintain as‑built drawings and turnover packages in Procore/ACCBIM/Bluebeam.
