Job summary

Legacy Professional Services is seeking an MEP Engineer (Connectivity) to coordinate, install, integrate, test, and turnover structured cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage systems on hyperscale data center projects.

You will bridge connectivity design and field execution, review technical docs, coordinate with MEP trades, and support testing, commissioning, and turnover per project specs and owner requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years supporting connectivity/low-voltage/telecom or related systems in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, and relevant pathways/spaces.
• Experience coordinating connectivity with MEP disciplines.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards, BICSI best practices, and testing/validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation, integration, and deployment of connectivity systems on hyperscale data center projects.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and coordination documents to identify installation requirements and conflicts.
• Coordinate pathways, cable trays, sleeves, penetrations, and equipment spaces between connectivity and MEP systems.
• Document fiber optic testing, copper certification, OTDR testing, and other validations.
• Support QA/QC, testing, and commissioning, ensuring readiness for turnover.
