Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Center Capacity Engineer to ensure our hyperscale infrastructure meets global demand. You will analyze server and infrastructure capacity trends, model future demand, and partner with hardware, network, and site operations teams to plan capacity at scale.

You will drive end-to-end capacity planning across data center campuses, manage workflows, and mentor teams while delivering improvements in reliability and efficiency for Meta’s compute, storage, and network resources.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in capacity planning, demand and supply management, production planning, operations planning, or infrastructure management.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s preferred in engineering or related field.
• Experience with process ownership and development, and systems development.
• Knowledge of enterprise-level networking, servers, and storage installations.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure systems and applications.
• Familiarity with data center power and cooling constraints and their impact on capacity planning.
• Strong communication and ability to tailor messages to audiences.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and deliver at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own accountability for the three capacity workflows (receiving, moves, decommissioning).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies and drive improvements for data center operations.
• Analyze capacity demands and translate data into local plans for rapid capacity delivery.
• Lead cross-functional data center teams on complex capacity projects considering interdependencies.
• Build cross-functional relationships to influence policies and procedures.
• Develop and share best practices across global data centers for capacity management.
• Drive alignment of capacity initiatives across functional partners and ensure scalable operations.
• Lead data analytics to identify inefficiencies and root causes and drive resolutions.
• Create/improve global standards for processes and automation roadmaps for server hardware at scale.
• Collaborate with hardware/software engineering to resolve complex issues.
• Mentor capacity team members globally and provide scalable guidance.
• Apply SME knowledge in cooling, power, networking, and automation related to capacity.
