Job summary

Meta is seeking a Performance & Capacity Engineer to join the Capacity Planning Optimization Engineering team. You will lead software-based capacity planning across Meta's global infrastructure, partnering with multiple engineering and business groups to optimize hardware, software, and data center resources.

This hands-on leadership role involves designing and building scalable planning systems while guiding both engineers and non-technical contributors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
10+ years of experience in Performance, Capacity, or software engineering.
Proficient in Python, C++, or other coding languages and designing large scale software systems.
Experience leading large engineering projects and initiatives, including coordinating teams.
Experience with large-scale technical infrastructure and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Own infrastructure capacity planning for all Meta software products and plans for scalable resources.
Collaborate across hardware, software, and business teams to optimize capacity planning.
Design scalable software systems linking business strategy to technical execution.
Lead engineering efforts and guide other engineers and contributors.
Balance cost efficiency with technical and product considerations across initiatives.
