Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Center Strategy & Planning Manager to join the Strategic Planning team within the Data Center organization. You will help build Meta’s global data center roadmap, craft end-to-end infrastructure scaling plans, and drive efficiency across equipment, sites, and networks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure/Cloud/Hardware with a background in strategy, capacity planning, supply chain optimization, technology strategy consulting.
• Experience distilling data into actionable insights for executive communication and decision-making.
• Business acumen with ability to form hypotheses into actionable analyses and recommendations.
• Problem-solving and strategy skills for complex/ambiguous problems.
• Experience completing multiple cloud, infrastructure, and hardware efficiency projects.
• Technical experience in infrastructure, hardware, or similar designs.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Leverage technical experience to identify and build large transformational programs across Infrastructure that scale Meta’s Data Center footprint.
• Develop planning strategies focused on reliability, cost and operational efficiency, reducing deployment times and improving power utilization.
• Optimize network, hardware, and DC footprints for efficiency.
• Develop detailed project evaluation plans for data center plan evolution and drive timely closures.
• Apply quantitative techniques and trade-offs for multi-billion dollar infrastructure decisions.
• Own the communications strategy for data center planning decisions, including executive briefs and status updates.
• Use technical judgment to drive new project evaluations and proposals to build consensus.
