Job summary

Fleet Data Centers in the United States seeks a Senior Principal Data Center Design Engineer to lead the design and scaling of mega-scale campuses. You will set architectural standards, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure integration of electrical, mechanical, structural, and networking systems for global operations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in hyperscale data center design, strong leadership, and proven multi-site delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or related field; master’s/Ph.D. preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience with hyperscale data centers.
• Experience leading multi-site data center design and integration projects.
• Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect the master vision for global data center designs and standards.
• Create and review campus master plans and high-density layouts.
• Lead cross-functional design workgroups across electrical/mechanical/structural/controls.
• Own due diligence for site selection and regulatory variations.
• Collaborate with vendors to review equipment submittals and ensure compliance.
• Present technical strategies to senior leadership and clients.
