Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Hyperbaric Medicine support role at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Wisconsin. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $21.85 to $32.80 per hour. Responsibilities include patient preparation, assisting with procedures, wound care, and operating hyperbaric equipment.

CNAs, EMTs or Medical Assistants with BLS are preferred, and certification within 6 months is required or waived by the department leader.

Qualifications

• High School education completed.
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNA, EMT or Medical Assistant.
• Must pass fitness testing to dive with patient in Hyperbaric Chamber during treatment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams, transports and assists patients as required.
• Assists physicians with local surgical procedures and wound care.
• Assists the RN with patient instructions and communications.
• Prepares and sets up supplies and equipment; cleans rooms after use.
• Operates and calibrates equipment per physician specifications (ultrasonic debridement, Doppler, wound VAC).
• Photographs wounds and documents progression in imaging system.
• Performs point-of-care testing and monitors glucose levels.
