Advocate Health in Milwaukee seeks a caregiver to support exams, assist physicians, prepare rooms and operate hyperbaric chamber equipment. The role requires one year of CNA/EMT/Medical Assistant experience and BLS within six months.

You will assist with surgical procedures, wound care, patient education, and monitor patients during hyperbaric therapy, ensuring safety and proper equipment setup.

Formación

• High School Education completed.
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNA, EMT or Medical Assistant.
• Pass fitness testing to "dive" - accompany patient in the Hyperbaric Chamber during treatment.
• BLS certification within 6 months unless exempt by department leader.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patients for exams, transports and provides assistance to patient as required.
• Assists physicians with surgical procedures and wound care tasks.
• Assists RN with basic patient instructions and reports clarification needs.
• Prepares and cleans treatment and exam rooms, and sets up supplies and equipment.
• Operates and calibrates ultrasound, wound vac and related devices as directed.
• Photographs wounds and documents progression for records.
• Performs point-of-care testing and manages glucose monitoring data.
• Monitors patients during hyperbaric therapy and ensures appropriate oxygen delivery setups.
• Ensures age-appropriate care and adherence to department policies.

Conocimientos

CNA/EMT/Medical Assistant experience

BLS certification (AHA)
