Aurora Health Care is seeking a patient care teammate to support hyperbaric treatment and routine clinical tasks in our facility. The role includes preparing patients, assisting physicians with procedures, and ensuring clean, ready treatment rooms.

You will help monitor patients, perform basic tests, and document wound status as part of ongoing care. Ideal candidates have at least one year of CNA/EMT/MA experience, High School Diploma, and will obtain BLS within 6 months.

Qualifikationen

• High School Education completed.
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNA, EMT or Medical Assistant.
• Must pass fitness testing to 'dive' and accompany patient in Hyperbaric Chamber.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months unless exempt.

Aufgaben

• Prepares patients for exams, transports and provides assistance to patient as required.
• Assists physicians with technical and minor surgical procedures and prepares wound cultures.
• Assists the RN with presenting basic patient instructions and communicates with families.
• Sets up supplies, instruments and equipment in patient rooms and cleans rooms after use.
• Operates equipment per physician specifications including ultrasonic debridement and wound care devices.
• Photographs wounds and documents wound progression in imaging program.
• Performs point of care testing and quality control of designated lab tests, and monitors blood glucose levels.
• Assists and monitors patients undergoing hyperbaric therapy, including chamber setup and monitoring.
• Sets up Hyperbaric chamber and oxygen delivery equipment and ensures safety protocols for the number of personnel.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and knowledge of growth and development in the department.
