Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Registered Nurse for wound care and Hyperbaric Medicine. This part-time role supports our 24/7 Hyperbaric program with on-call shifts and weekend/holiday coverage as needed. Requires ICU/ED experience and ACLS/PALS training within 3 months.

Deliver expert nursing care for wound management and HBOT treatments, in a team-based environment focused on advanced outpatient and inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; not suitable for new grads.
• Critical Care experience required.
• Registered Nurse license for the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Strong IV skills with wound care and clinical judgement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care for wound management, including dressing changes, VAC therapy, compression wraps, and diabetic casts.
• Assist with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments in single and multi-person chambers.
• Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after HBOT sessions.
• Provide inpatient wound and ostomy care consultations.
• Educate patients on wound care, infection prevention, and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.
