Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant to support Hyperbaric Medicine at St. Luke’s Medical Center. The role includes patient preparation, assisting physicians, wound care, and coordination with the care team.

Schedule includes four 10-hour shifts or eight 5-hour shifts with options, and a weekend per month. Pay range is $21.85–$32.80 per hour with comprehensive benefits and total rewards.

Qualifications

• High School Education completed.
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNA, EMT or Medical Assistant.
• Must be able to pass fitness testing to "dive" - accompany patient in the Hyperbaric Chamber during treatment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams, transports and assists as required.
• Checks attire for hyperbaric chamber and removes prohibited materials.
• Assists physicians with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
• Prepares wound cultures and delivers specimens to the lab.
• Assists RN with patient instructions and communications.
