Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated healthcare teammate for a full-time role in Hyperbaric Medicine. The position involves patient preparation, assistance to physicians, wound care support, and operation of specialized chamber equipment.

You will document progress and ensure safety during hyperbaric therapy. Requirements include at least 1 year of CNA/EMT/Medical Assistant experience, High School education, and a BLS certification to be obtained within six months if not already held.

Qualifications

• High School Education completed.
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNA, EMT or Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months unless exempted by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams and assists physicians and nurses as required.
• Tends to patient comfort, ensures proper attire and safety in the hyperbaric chamber setting.
• Assists with minor procedures, wound care, and specimen handling.
• Sets up supplies and equipment, cleans rooms, and maintains sterile technique where needed.
• Operates and calibrates wound care equipment and imaging documentation systems.
• Supports patient instructions and communicates needs to care team.
