Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Hyperbaric Chamber Technician to deliver safe, high-quality hyperbaric oxygen therapy and support the wound care team.

The role also serves as Hyperbaric Safety Officer, performing safety inspections, documentation, and emergency drill coordination to maintain a compliant hyperbaric environment. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Hyperbaric certification (CHT) preferred.
• Proven experience as a Hyperbaric Technician.
• Experience in hyperbaric medicine or wound care preferred.
• Experience operating hyperbaric chamber treatments required.
• Healthcare, EMS, or related experience preferred.
• Current or must-obtain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and explain treatments and safety procedures.
• Operate and monitor hyperbaric chamber equipment safely.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments, reporting concerns.
• Perform pre-treatment safety checks and routine safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate treatment, equipment, and safety documentation.
• Serve as Hyperbaric Safety Officer and conduct drills.
• Address safety hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with Wound Healing Institute leadership and other departments.
