Job summary

Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, operating across 600+ sites. The Hyperbaric Technician role administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, ensures safe chamber operation and accurate treatment documentation for patients with non-healing wounds.

Reporting to the Program Director, you will support wound care services, participate in safety drills, and may assist in Vein Clinic after training. A healthcare license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development)
• Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice
• BLS/ CPR certification to be maintained throughout employment
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in healthcare preferred
• Prior wound or critical care experience preferred
• Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course or approved equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepares, educates and orients patients about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and treatment readiness.
• Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by Hyperbaric Provider and monitors patient responses.
• Performs daily data entries for hyperbaric treatments and wound clinic visits; maintains patient records.
• Operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and support oxygen systems.
• Assists in Vein Clinic as trained and assigned.
• Participates in safety program activities and drills.
• May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) if CMA/LPN as per policy.
• Performs other duties as required.
