Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a qualified professional to administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician. Daily maintenance and safety checks are required before operations, with PRN hours to cover 7am–3:30pm shifts.

The role requires a GED or H.S. diploma, training in one of several medical professions, and 2 years of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; training in one of the listed medical professions.
• Training in Respiratory Therapy, Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN), or Emergency Medical Technology; or completion of the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years of healthcare experience required.
• BCLS – Basic Life Support via AHA required at hire; current Georgia license/certification listed areas required.
• Must complete the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 days; other qualifying hyperbaric certifications required.

Required Hours

PRN 7am- 3:30pm, various days

Responsibilities

Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the hyperbaric physician/provider. Provides daily maintenance and safety checks prior to daily operations.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Training in one of the following medical professions: Required
• Respiratory Therapy or
• Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) or
• Emergency Medical Technology. or
• Successful completion of the 40‑hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 6 months of hire

Work Experience

• 2 years of healthcare experience Required
• Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification through AHA Upon Hire Required and
• Current Georgia license or certification in one of the following areas: Upon Hire Required
• CRTT - Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician Required or
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Required or
• EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Emergency Medical Technician Required or
• CHT - Certification in Hyperbaric Technology Certified Hyperbaric Technologist Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Surgical Technologist Required or
• Other CHT qualifying certification Required
• In addition to the above qualifying license, the successful completion of the 40‑hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 Days Required
