Responsibilities

Administer safe and effective hyperbaric oxygen therapy and assist with diagnostic testing to patients under the supervision of a hyperbaric provider. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered and reviewed by the hyperbaric provider. Provides daily maintenance and safety checks prior to daily operations.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) – Required
• Training in one of the following medical professions: Respiratory Therapy, Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN), Emergency Medical Technology – Required
• Successful completion of the 40‑hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 6 months of hire – Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of healthcare experience – Required
• Experience in wound care, hyperbaric therapy, or critical care – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BCLS) / Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA – Required upon hire
• Current Georgia license or certification in one of the following areas – Required upon hire:
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Certification in Hyperbaric Technology (CHT)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Other CHT qualifying certification
• Successful completion of the 40‑hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 days – Required
