Responsibilities

Administer safe and effective hyperbaric oxygen therapy and assist with diagnostic testing to patients under the supervision of a hyperbaric provider. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered and reviewed by the hyperbaric provider. Provides daily maintenance and safety checks prior to daily operations.

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – Required
• Training in one of the following medical professions: Respiratory Therapy, Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN), or Emergency Medical Technology
• Successful completion of the 40‑hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 6 months of hire – Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of healthcare experience – Required
• Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS – Basic Life Support certification through AHA – Required upon hire
• Current Georgia license or certification in one of the following areas – Required upon hire:
  • CRTT – Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician
  • LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
  • EMT – Emergency Medical Tech
  • CHT – Certification in Hyperbaric Technology
  • CST – Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Other CHT qualifying certification
• Successful completion of the 40‑hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 days – Required
