Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a qualified HBOT staff member to administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and related diagnostic testing under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician.

The role requires BCLS certification, a Georgia license in a relevant field, and completion of the 40-hour HBOT training within 180 days of hire. Two years of healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education and training in mandatory medical professions per role.
• BCLS (AHA) on hire required.
• Current Georgia license or certification required on hire.
• 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training within 180 days required.
• 2 years of healthcare experience required; wound/hyperbaric/critical care preferred.

Responsibilities:

Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the hyperbaric physician/provider. Provides daily maintenance and safety checks prior to daily operations.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Training in one of the following medical professions: Required
• Respiratory Therapy or
• Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) or
• Emergency Medical Technology. or
• Successful completion of the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 6 months of hire

Work Experience

• 2 years of healthcare experience Required
• Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS Certification through AHA Upon Hire Required and
• Current Georgia license or certification in one of the following areas: Upon Hire Required
• CRTT - Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician Required or
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Required or
• EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Emergency Medical Technician Required or
• CHT - Certification in Hyperbaric Technology Certified Hyperbaric Technologist Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Surgical Technologist Required or
• Other CHT qualifying certification Required
• In addition to the above qualifying license, the successful completion of the 40-hour Primary Hyperbaric Training course within 180 Days Required
